Howard and Avant to have joint booth at BICSI fall conference

Denver, Colorado – August 8, 2011 – Avant Datacomm Solutions, Inc. (Avant) and Howard Technologies, Inc. (Howard) recently entered into a reseller agreement. Under the agreement, Avant is a certified reseller of the Howard product line in the states of Texas and Colorado. To further advance the business relationship between Howard and Avant, they have agreed to have a joint booth at the BICSI fall conference & exhibition, September 18-22, MGM Grand Hotel & Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. 

BICSI is a professional association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry. ITS covers the spectrum of voice, data, electronic safety & security, and audio & video technologies. It encompasses the design, integration and installation of pathways, spaces, fiber- and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and infrastructure that supports the transportation of information and associated signaling between and among communications and information gathering devices.

Avant Datacomm Solutions, Inc. sells to private investors

Denver, Colorado – February 11, 2011 – Avant Datacomm Solutions, Inc. (Avant), a leading provider of structured cabling, CCTV & Intrusion Security Systems, Fiber and Copper backbone solutions, network cabling and wireless access, announced today that it has sold 100% of the outstanding capital stock to a private group of investors. Mr. Doug Childress will take on the role of President and COO after the close of the acquisition.

Avant intends to seek Small Business Administration 8(a) certification which is anticipated in the late fall or early winter of 2011. Avant has offices in Denver, CO and San Antonio, TX with 32 employees. The selling shareholders Shawn Haggerty and Ted Droz will remain with the company in management positions. 

Avant’s growth strategy will be to leverage the 8(a) certification to expand into the government contacting arena, to expand the product and service offering, and finally, to expand its regional presence by opening new offices.
